The emotional leader

I began to read the book Primal Leadership recommended to me by Ted Egly.  I do mean though that I just began to read it, but the first simple point that I have taken from it is that people are emotional and that we need to lead with positive thought and positive reinforcement.  Most people in a meeting for example will feed off of negative comments or feelings and in turn be negative even though they may not be a negative person.  Get control of your environment before it gets out of control.  Always take the positives of a event or situation there is always a positive that can help or find solutions don’t dwell on the failure.  As leaders how can we inspire our followers without getting them to believe in themselves and get them learn from their failures.  Be patient, positive,  and allow your followers to learn from their mistakes, don’t punish them.
